4th Annual Pumpkin People Contest

Registration: Participants must pay the $25 registration fee and be registered with the GilroyChamber of Commerce on or before Tuesday, October 10, to be eligible to win one of the cash prizes.Registration can be done online, drop off at the Chamber office, or mail to: Gilroy Chamber of Commerce 7471 Monterey Street, Gilroy. (Reminder all registrations submitted must include payment to be considered as a valid contest entry.)


Pumpkin People Display: Participants must have all Pumpkin People displays ready for viewing no later than 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017. Pumpkin People display(s) must be maintained throughout the event, October 14 – October 31. The Gilroy Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to refuse any Pumpkin People display deemed offensive or in poor taste. Any Pumpkin People display using knives, blood or weapons will be disqualified and rejected.


1st Place = $250
2nd Place = $150
3rd Place = $100
1st, 2nd and 3rd place cash prizes will be
awarded to the residential community only.


Voting for Pumpkin People: A panel of 5 judges will review all the Pumpkin People displays and rate each display in four categories, Difficulty, Originality, Creativity and Entertaining. The combined score of the 5 judges will determine the cash prize winners. The general public will vote for the "People's Choice" Pumpkin People display online. The winner of the “People’s Choice” will be awarded a trophy along with a gift certificate to one of our local restaurants.
