Tarantula Festival

The annual Tarantula Festival will be held October 7, 2017, Henry W. Coe State Park from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.  Presented by the Pine Ridge Association, enjoy a day filled with tarantula hikes, raffle, BBQ  from 11:30 - 1:00, geocaching, live music, and activities for the kids.  Come celebrate our furry footed tarantula friends with us!

San Benito Olive Festival

It's an Olive Date! Foodies and Families are all invited to enjoy local harvest and culinary delights at the fourth annual San Benito Olive Festival on Saturday, October 14, 2017, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, at the charming San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos, CA, approximately 8 miles south of downtown Hollister.

The Olive Fest is a fresh culinary celebration with innovative creators and delectable pairings.

• Taste award-winning olive oils and artisanal foods

• Discover world-class wines and craft beers

• Become inspired by celebrity chef cooking demos

• Create an olive wreath, a flower bouquet and paint an olive masterpiece 

• Enjoy live music and much more

Tickets are available in Hollister at Postal Graphics, 1760 Airline Highway, and San Benito Bene, 615-B San Benito Street, as well as online at Eventbrite-San Benito Olive Festival.  

The San Benito Olive Festival is a nonprofit. All net proceeds go back into the community.

Beer, Wine & Food Fest! As the sun goes down, the entire park will light up with a warm autumn glow. Guests are encouraged to stroll through the park to marvel at the majesty of Sycamore Bridge, the serenity of Claudia's Garden, the lush beauty of Monarch Garden, and the romantic Lakeside Trail. At the Marketplace, guests can gather to sample craft beers, fine wines, and gourmet food and enjoy fun games and crafts for all ages.

In nearby Mission Plaza, live bands will be performing each night. Popular local brother-and-sister duo The Pfeffers will kick off opening weekend (November 3-5), followed by Aubrey and Luke (November 10-12). Modern country band Candie & Eight Second Ride takes the stage November 17-19, and a fourth band (to be announced) will close out the event's final weekend (November 24-26). Between sets, guests can take a thrilling ride on the Quicksilver Express Mine Coaster, enjoy the views from atop the Panoramic Wheel, or take a ride through the park aboard the Bonfante Railroad.
